2015 is sure to be an exciting year for Cadillac as it plans its move to New York City and works on new, luxurious models that will put the American automaker on pace to compete with German brands like BMW and Mercedes-Benz. But perhaps one of the most exciting things that 2015 will bring is the release of the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V—the most powerful Cadillac ever made.
2016 Cadillac CTS-V performance is certainly poised to take your breath away. When it becomes available for purchase in late summer 2015, it’ll offer an outstanding 640 horsepower and 630 lb-ft of torque. This power output is provided by a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine—another first for the brand. The engine will be mated to Cadillac’s paddle-shift eight-speed automatic transmission, which also features launch control and Performance Algorithm Shifting.
Johan de Nysschen, president of Cadillac, commented, “V-Series represents the very best of the Cadillac brand – the pinnacle of our design and technical capabilities. The new CTS-V is the most compelling example of Cadillac’s product substance and brand trajectory. The new CTS-V soars into the stratosphere of the most exhilarating luxury cars.”
