When it comes to luxury and powerful performance, the all-new Cadillac CTS-V mates the two in a way the brand never has previously. On the heels of the introduction of the ATS-V Coupe and ATS-V Sedan, the CTS-V is Cadillac’s third new vehicle launch in three months as the automaker continues to reinvent the brand and introduce the top-of-the-line V-Series.
Where to begin with the CTS-V? Let’s start with the cold, hard facts: the sedan is powered by Cadillac’s Twin Turbo V6 engine which comes with several impressive numbers. Thanks in part to the V6, the CTS-V rockets up to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds and boasts a maximum speed of 200 mph. Added to that is the engine’s sporty handling, measuring at 630 lb-ft of torque and 640 hp.
“The 2016 CTS-V is the most powerful car in Cadillac’s 112-year history, and enters the elite club of the most desirable high-performance machines in the world,” said Cadillac president, Johan DeNysschen at the sedan’s reveal.
“It is a bold challenge, to be sure. But only those who are willing to accept risk, who have the courage to dare greatly, will push new boundaries and shape the future,” he added.
In addition to its power, the new CTS-V maintains the elegant stance and classic Cadillac luxury for which the brand is known.
