Though it didn’t walk off of the stage with a little golden trophy, Cadillac was a big winner at the 2019 Academy Awards. Four new commercials aired during this year’s Oscars® broadcast, introducing a captive audience to the all-new Cadillac SUV lineup.
The all-new Cadillac XT6 is featured in the “Rise Above” ad, the Escalade stars in “Take the Stage,” the XT4 in “Make Your Escape,” and the XT5 in “Take Flight.” All four ads feature the music of actor and musician Childish Gambino and put the Cadillac SUV lineup on full display.
While in years past, Cadillac’s sponsorship has mainly consisted of running ad spots during the Oscars®, this year, Cadillac had a presence on the red carpet itself. The Cadillac Crest’s bold blue lines were represented through the illuminated blue steps that the stars ascended.
“The new Crest treatment illustrates the brand’s determination and will to succeed — the same traits possessed by those winners who ascend the staircase to the stage at the Oscars,” said Deborah Wahl, chief marketing officer of Cadillac.
