Cadillac V2V Technology Makes MIT’s 2015 Top Ten List

The Cadillac V2V technology is truly something to be excited about. Although it hasn’t fully been released yet, the launch date will hopefully be coming sooner than you think. The technology is so innovative that it was recognized by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and placed on the institute’s Ten Breakthrough Technologies of 2015 list

V2V communication technology, otherwise known as vehicle to vehicle communication, is changing the way cars not only communicate with one another, but with their drivers as well. The new technology is built to continuously transmit information such as a car’s speed, location, steering angle, and state of braking. This allows cars to be aware of everything around and the potential dangers that could affect the drivers.

The V2V technology is currently being regulated by the US Department of Transportation and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in hopes of bringing it to the market soon. Cadillac actually plans to bring the technology to one of its cars by 2017!
